Spanish-Speaking Church Plant
Hope Church has been involved in church planting through the years, launching Center City Church in 2005 and Refuge Church in 2015. We also believe God’s love is for all people of all languages and ethnicities. Albuquerque is a diverse city, with a large population of people who speak Spanish as their first language.
When our long-time Global Partners from Mexico, Felipe and Eva Vazquez, told us that they felt God calling them to plant a Spanish-speaking church in Albuquerque, we sought God’s direction about partnering in this church plant.
In June of 2024, Hope Church voted to call Felipe as our Spanish-speaking Church Planting Pastor. We are excited to see how God is at work in this current church plant as we join Him in our city and world.

FAQs
-
We are in the process of applying for a Religious Visa for Felipe and Eva. This process takes around a year, and we are hopeful they will join us in Albuquerque by Fall 2025.
-
This is part of their work in the first year: deciding where God is calling them to plant specifically. During prior vision trips to Albuquerque, Felipe and Eva have spent significant time in the South Valley, the International District, and Downtown, meeting with pastors and getting to know the areas. These are possible locations of the church plant, though God may lead elsewhere.
-
As a church, we are committing to a giving goal that would cover the first four years of the church planting process. On arrival, Felipe and Eva will work to form other ministry partnerships in Albuquerque and in our EFCA District. After the church has started, Felipe will lead the church members to give generously to the ministry of their church.
