Local Outreach

Local Outreach

Hope Church partners with local ministries to reflect the goodness of God in the city of Albuquerque.

Local Outreach Partners

We aim to mobilize our people in word and deed, supporting local workers and partnering with local organizations.

Debbie Woodard

  • Debbie Woodard serves with InFaith New Mexico. She and a team of volunteers teach children in after-school Bible Clubs during the school year, and in Vacation Bible Schools during the summer.

Debbie keeps busy with a Mailbox Bible Club, a mentoring ministry, literature distribution, personal evangelism, and writing devotions.

New Mexico Dream Center

  • NMDC works against the injustice of sex trafficking in Albuquerque and New Mexico. They offer hope to survivors of trafficking and those who are vulnerable to traffickers.

Care Net

  • Care Net works with men and women who are facing an unwanted pregnancy. They offer compassion, hope, and help to anyone considering abortion by presenting them with realistic alternatives and Christ-centered support through their life-affirming network of pregnancy centers, churches, organizations, and individuals. As part of their ministry, Care Net offers counseling, pregnancy tests, ultrasounds and material goods to their clients.

East Central Ministries

  • East Central Ministries is a community living out Jesus' values of justice and compassion with their neighbors in Albuquerque's International District. They do this through wholistic ministries, caring for the whole person and the whole community: Growing Awareness Urban Farm, One Hope medical clinic, Casa Shalom housing co-op, their community food co-op, and their youth programs.

They work and live in the neighborhood, collaborating with others in order to follow Jesus, be faithful, and make the neighborhood a better place.

Steelbridge

  • Steelbridge’s mission is to provide life transforming solutions to break the cycles of poverty, addiction and trauma through the power of God’s love. For 50 years Steelbridge has cared for our neighbors in Albuquerque who are experiencing homelessness or home instability. Over the years, they have transitioned from being a soup kitchen to a residential transformation program for men and women. These structured 6-to-12 month programs have components to address spiritual issues, physical health, educational development, addiction recovery, emotional healing, and relationship skills.

In addition to their residential programs, Steelbridge provides food and clothes to people experiencing homelessness or home-instability.

International Students Inc.

  • International Students Inc. of Albuquerque is committed to serving international students and scholars of all faiths at UNM. Collaborating with the administration of UNM, their aim is to help students smoothly transition into a new place and culture through airport pickups, temporary homestays, help finding housing in and around the university, and their Friendship Partner program. ISI also provides students with free lunches at the beginning of each semester, and necessary furniture and appliances for their homes.
